For the Chicken:

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1/2 cup honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Salt to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Macaroni Cheese:

8 ounces elbow macaroni

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 cups milk (whole or 2%)

2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)

Prepare the Chicken Marinade:

    In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, black pepper, crushed red pepper flakes, and salt.

      Marinate the Chicken:

        Place chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the chicken. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 1-2 hours for better flavor absorption.

          Cook the Macaroni:

            While the chicken is marinating, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
