Ingredients

1 can of refrigerated croissant dough

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup sliced pepperoni

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 egg (for egg wash)

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Marinara sauce, for dipping (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Prepare the Dough: Open the can of croissant dough and unroll it on a clean surface. Separate into triangles as indicated on the package.

Add Filling: Place about a tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese on the wide end of each triangle, then add a slice of pepperoni on top of the cheese. Sprinkle a pinch of Italian seasoning over the filling.

Roll Up the Croissants: Starting from the wide end, roll each triangle tightly towards the point, enclosing the filling. Pinch the sides to seal, ensuring the filling doesn’t escape.

Brush with Olive Oil: Arrange the rolled croissants on the prepared baking tray. Brush the tops with olive oil and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese for added flavor.

Prepare Egg Wash: In a small bowl, beat the egg and then brush a little over each croissant for a golden finish.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

Garnish and Serve: Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
