Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and black pepper to taste

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Cooked pasta or rice (for serving, optional)

Instructions

Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until they turn pink and opaque. Season with salt and black pepper. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Make it Creamy: Pour in the heavy cream and stir, then add the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Continue to stir until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.

Combine: Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat them in the creamy sauce. Allow it to simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes until everything is heated through, and the sauce is slightly thickened. If using, add red pepper flakes for a kick!

Serve: Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve over cooked pasta or rice if desired. Enjoy your meal!
