1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain

2 cups broccoli florets

1 medium onion, sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium)

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon ginger, minced

Cooked jasmine rice or noodles, for serving

Instructions
 

Prepare the Beef Marinade: In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper. Stir well and add the sliced beef. Mix to coat and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

    Blanch the Broccoli: Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add broccoli florets and blanch for about 2-3 minutes until vibrant green and just tender. Drain and set aside.

      Stir-Fry the Beef: Heat vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes without stirring, allowing it to sear, then stir-fry until browned and just cooked through. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

        Sauté Vegetables: In the same pan, add the sliced onion and stir-fry for about 1-2 minutes until translucent. Then add the blanched broccoli and continue to stir-fry for another minute.

          Combine & Cook: Return the beef to the pan with the vegetables. Stir to combine and allow everything to cook together for an additional minute, letting the flavors meld. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

            Serve: Serve the beef and broccoli stir-fry over cooked jasmine rice or noodles. Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.
