Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 packet taco seasoning

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 small bell pepper, diced

1 jalapeño, diced (optional)

1 cup salsa

Cooking spray

Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Sour cream, for serving

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare the Filling: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, chopped onion, bell pepper, and jalapeño (if using). Cook until the beef is no longer pink and the vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

Season the Meat: Add the taco seasoning to the beef mixture along with 1/2 cup of salsa. Stir well to combine and let it cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until melted and combined.

Roll the Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Pinch the seams together to form a single sheet.

Fill the Dough: Spoon a generous amount of the cheesy taco filling along one long edge of the dough. Be careful not to overfill.

Form the Sticks: Starting from the edge with the filling, carefully roll the dough away from you to create a log. Pinch the edges to seal.

Slice and Bake: Cut the rolled dough into 1-inch thick sticks and arrange them on the baking sheet. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray to help them brown.

Bake: Place in the preheated oven and bake for 15-18 minutes or until the dough is golden brown.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with the remaining salsa, sour cream, and garnish with fresh cilantro.
